Why thirteen
and a half?

The number is no accident.

13.5° is the alcohol content of the Castello di Gabbiano Chianti Classico — the wine at the heart of everything we do. Name the bar after the bottle, and you can never lose sight of what matters.

Tredici Gradi on Kaiserstraße 81 is where it all began — the original, smaller wine bar. Here on Lindengasse, Tredici e Mezzo is the bigger room: the same Tuscan soul, more space, a Gastgarten, a full cucina, and evenings that run late. Two rooms, one story.

Together we call them our Wohnzimmer im 7. Bezirk — our two living rooms in Vienna's seventh. Due Tocchi Toscani a Vienna.

La Cantina — The Cellar

We don't simply pour Castello di Gabbiano. As Tredici Gradi, we are its official importer and distributor in Austria.

Castello di Gabbiano is one of Tuscany's oldest continuously operating estates. Its first cellars were built within the castle walls in 1124 by the Bardi family, the powerful Florentine bankers; formal winemaking is documented from 1480. The estate sits at Mercatale in Val di Pesa, twenty-two kilometres from Florence, in the Chianti Classico DOCG. Because we bring it in ourselves, the full Tuscan range is here — by the glass, and yours to take home.
